What Anam Cara Is

Anam Cara – What does it mean?

The soul radiates all about the physical body, what some refer to as an aura. When you connect with another person and become completely open and trusting with that individual, your two souls begin to flow together. Should such a deep bond be formed, it is said you have found your Anam Cara or soul friend.

Your Anam Cara always accepts you as you truly are, holding you in beauty and light. In order to appreciate this relationship, you must first recognize your own inner light and beauty. This is not always easy to do. Forming an Anam Cara friendship will help you to awaken your awareness of your own nature and experience the joys of others.

At Anam Cara we hope to find many soul friends and through those friends and through the practice of Yoga we will recognize our own inner light and beauty.

The Seed of Life

At Anam Cara we realize that we are connected to all…to each other, biologically, to the earth, chemically, to the rest of the universe atomically. The universe is one big sea of energy which connects us to every other living thing within it. We are connected to the trees, the birds, the raindrops, animals, people, everything that exists. We are all made of energy. Discoveries show that we can use our connection consciously which opens the door to nothing less than our opportunity to tap the same power that drives the entire universe. Through the oneness that lives inside of you, me, and all humans who walk the planet, we have a direct line to the same force that creates everything. The implications of these relationships are huge. In a world where an intelligent field of energy connects everything from global peace to personal healing, what may have sounded like fantasy and miracles in the past suddenly becomes possible in our lives.

This is why at Anam Cara we chose the Seed of Life as our symbol. The Seed of Life is an ancient sacred geometric symbol. It contains seven circles. A circle is considered to be a representation of infinity. If you are sitting on the circumference of a circle then there is no end or beginning. The circles in the Seed of Life are connected representing the connection each of us has to every other living thing in the Universe and the realization that this connection has no beginning and no end.
